Magic Barber

Pan Qing, portrayed by Zhang Ran, is a graduate of a prestigious college, yet he remains true to his ideals as he runs a modest barber shop, aiming to secure a foothold in the bustling metropolis of Beijing. By chance he encounters Zhang Xuejiao, played by You You, a young woman pressured by her family to marry because of her age and weighed down by stress. Pan Qing's presence smooths the wrinkles in her heart, and the two gradually come together. Their tender relationship is interrupted by the arrival of Zhang Xuejiao's mother, portrayed by Zhu Mimi, a woman hungry for quick success and greed. She believes there is no future in a barber shop and that it cannot yield substantial income, so she uses every means to force Pan Qing to transform the shop into a pet grooming salon. At the same time, she looks down on Pan Qing for his rural origins, deeming him unworthy of her daughter.
