Magical Mako

Mahō no Mako-chan is a Japanese anime series produced by Toei Animation. Its story is loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid. The series has been dubbed into several languages, including French, Spanish, Polish, and Italian, and is also widely known by the titles Mako the Mermaid, Mako-chan’s Magic, Syrenka Mako, and Magical Mako-chan. Mahō no Mako-chan originally aired in 1970 on Nippon Educational TV, now known as TV Asahi.
