Maharajah of the Road

A dream journey across India unfolds just miles from Mumbai, the Indian megalopolis perched on a Bollywood hill. Here stands a grand temple complex with a magical touch, evoking simultaneously an Indian shrine and an ancient Inca temple. Inside, ten Ford Mustangs await, each bearing an extraordinary pedigree: Bullitt GT390, Shelby GT500, Shelby GT500 KR 1968… The deep toll of a gong resounds as the temple doors part, launching the first edition of the Maharajah of the Road. At the wheel of these ten Mustangs are passionate travelers from around the world — Indian, French, American, Italian, Lebanese — businessmen, automobile designers, manufacturers, and artists. From Mumbai to Jodhpur, a 2,000-kilometer tour will guide our Mustangs across India. From the Rats Temple in Deshnoke city to the thousand-and-one palaces, the two princesses will reveal Rajasthan to road adventurers on this eventful journey.
