Major Payne
Major Benson Winifred Payne is set to be discharged from the Marine Corps. A battle-hardened, no-nonsense officer, he discovers that modern warfare seldom takes place on conventional battlefields. A career Marine with no clue how to adapt to civilian life, he is assigned by his commander to lead a local school's JROTC program—a ragtag squad of cadets with little hope.
