Mariana Mariana
Set in 1940s Mexico City, the story follows a schoolboy named Carlos who falls in love with Mariana, the mother of his best friend. He is struck by how this family is unlike the typical Mexican households of the era, owning many expensive American possessions, though they are not wealthy. The drama unfolds when Carlos leaves school to declare his love to Mariana and is discovered by his teachers.
