Memories to Choke On, Drinks to Wash Them Down
This anthology film, whose Chinese title opens with a romanticized term for human excrement, made its international premiere at Rotterdam and received the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award for Best Screenplay. It follows a range of Hong Kong residents as they confront nostalgia amid an uncertain future, before their narratives transition into a documentary segment centered on a young barista who becomes a political candidate.
