Mermaids
Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Flax is weary of her mother's capricious habit of uprooting their lives and moving to a new town whenever she feels it’s necessary. When they settle in a small Massachusetts town and Mrs. Flax begins dating a shopkeeper, Charlotte and her nine-year-old sister Kate hope they can finally put down roots. But Charlotte's attraction to an older man complicates things, and the family must learn to accept one another for who they truly are.
