Miss Violet
France, at the end of the 19th century, Louise Violet, a 40-year-old Parisian teacher, is sent on a mission to the rural countryside. In a setting where daily life is tied to the seasons, the land and its crops, she must first persuade parents to send their children to school. With the mayor's help, she gradually earns acceptance from both parents and their children. But soon, her past catches up with her. Despite the obstacles she faces, Miss Violet dedicates heart and soul to the belief that education is the key to freedom.
