Mistaken for Strangers follows The National on their most ambitious tour to date. Tom, a novice roadie and the younger brother of lead singer Matt Berninger, is a heavy metal and horror cinema aficionado, and he cannot resist infusing his own perspective into the experience. Inevitably, Tom’s side gig as an irreverent documentarian creates drama for the band on the road. The film offers a funny and moving look at two very different brothers and tells an engaging story of artistic aspiration.
