Neverwhere

Richard Mayhew leads an ordinary life in London until a badly injured girl named Door falls across his path. In that instant, his world vanishes as he is drawn into the fantastical realm of London Below. Pursued by the murderous Messrs. Croup and Vandemar, Door and Richard, aided by the Hunter and the Marquis de Carabas, undertake a quest to find the Angel Islington, who holds the secret behind Door's family's murder—and perhaps a way for Richard to return home.
