Nora

"Nora" is inspired by the true story of dancer Nora Chipaumire, who was born in Zimbabwe in 1965. In the film, Nora returns to the landscape of her childhood and embarks on a journey through vivid memories of her youth. Through performance and dance, she animates her past in a fast-moving poem of sound and imagery. She is a girl continually under pressure, fighting against many forms of intimidation and violence, yet gradually finding strength, pride, and independence.
