Oh Madeline
Oh Madeline was an American sitcom broadcast on ABC from September 27, 1983 to March 13, 1984. Starring Madeline Kahn, the series follows Madeline Wayne, a housewife who has grown restless after ten years of marriage to Charlie, a sweet yet conventional man who earns his living writing steamy romance novels under the pen name Crystal Love. Madeline's best friend is Doris, a timid divorcee who was formerly married to Charlie's best friend, a middle-aged swinger named Bob. Annie is Charlie's amorous editor. Frustrated with her predictable, middle-class suburban life, Madeline resolves to inject excitement into her days by sampling every trendy diversion she can discover—from seaweed-based health foods to exercise clubs and ladies-only clubs featuring male strippers. The show blends slapstick humor with marital misunderstandings in the tradition of I Love Lucy.
