Olga's Dance Hall Girls

This final installment in the grindhouse 'Olga' cycle is a throwaway, shrug-inducing entry that nonetheless charms with a tacky, surreal flair. Audrey Campbell is no longer the sinister Olga, and her replacement inhabits the role with none of the former clumsy menace. The new Olga languorously lounges on flimsy sets, smoking cigarettes, looking pale and sweaty. She seems too bored by the proceedings to torture her white slaves. The dirty work falls to her partner Nick (Larry Hunter), a slimy, weasel-faced operator who lures unsuspecting housewives into prostitution by offering them jobs as 'dance instructors' in Olga's dance hall. The results feature group sex, nude dancing, and pretty ladies wrestling in their underwear, punctuated by several long, seemingly improvised scenes where the characters talk in circles.
