Lance Corporal Georgie Lane, a battle-hardened army medic, accompanies Captain James and 2 Section on a humanitarian mission to Kenya. She has promised her fiancé, Doctor Jamie Cole, that she will return home soon to wed him. Arriving at a refugee camp near Somalia's border, 2 Section plunges into relief work as an IED detonates, wounding many refugees. When aid worker Kicki is kidnapped, Georgie's determination to find her pulls her into great danger.
