Paul Monette: The Brink of Summer's End
Voiced by Linda Hunt, this documentary chronicles the life of Paul Monette, the late author and ardent gay rights advocate. Born in 1945 into a prosperous Massachusetts family, Monette grows up wrestling with his sexuality, concealing it from loved ones while forging his path as a writer. In 1978, he publishes his debut novel, a milestone that enables him to come out to his parents. Following the loss of a lover to AIDS in 1986, he emerges as a passionate, uncompromising champion for AIDS awareness.
