Autumn descends as Makoto and the SEES crew edge toward a climactic clash with the enigmatic Shadows. They endure life-or-death battles to end the Dark Hour, confronting the deaths of friends and family, discovering what precious things must be protected, and finding meaning in the battles that have occurred. Before Makoto stands the mysterious transfer student Ryoji Mochizuki.
