Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom

Across the United States, mafia influence saturates the landscape, turning street-level executions into ordinary hazards. Inferno, a clandestine corporation, coordinates the bulk of these activities through its nearly unstoppable human weapon, Phantom. When a Japanese tourist inadvertently witnesses Phantom's latest killing, he bolts for safety and hides inside a secluded building. But Phantom, who is actually Ein, a young woman, and Inferno's ruthless leader, the Scythe Master, seize him and subject him to brainwashing. Renamed Zwei, this once-tranquil traveler becomes a puppet of Inferno with no memories. Thrown into a web of deception, treachery, and violence, Zwei must fight to survive, hoping to recover his memories and escape a realm where death seems never far away.
