Set in 1979, nine-year-old Mints travels solo when her flight is diverted to Pittsburgh. There, she endures a chaotic night with a drunken stewardess who deserts her to party with the pilot. Determined to find a dependable adult, Mints embarks on a quest in a world that seems to lack them.
