When Zouey's closest friend Nant vanishes, his twin brother Nont arrives to probe the disappearance. Zouey teams up with First to assist Nont in solving the case. Pursuing Nant's history, the trio steps into shadowy corners of the sex industry—illegal pornography, online hook-ups with drug dealing, covert sex work, and sex-love revenge—exposing humanity's darkest impulses. Meanwhile, Zouey, who has long feared sex, is seduced by his nude model Teena, while First dives so deeply into the ecstasy of sex that, upon meeting Soong, a former sex worker, he risks sliding into addiction.
