Playmates

Lulu Monahan, the press agent for John Barrymore, is pursuing a sponsor for a radio program. She teams up with the agent for bandleader Kay Kyser to plant a story that the great Shakespearean actor, despite his heartfelt objections, will teach Kyser how to play Shakespeare, which isn't the same as playing Paducah, a distinction that soon becomes evident.
