Possession
Maud Bailey, a brilliant English academic, pursues the life and work of poet Christabel La Motte. Roland Michell, an American scholar in London, travels to study Randolph Henry Ash, renowned for a collection of poems dedicated to his wife. When Maud and Roland uncover a cache of letters that appear to be from Ash to La Motte, they pursue a trail of clues across England, echoing the couple's own journey more than a century earlier.

Kind of comfort food for romance-dramas. The film features fine performances and good chemistry between Paltrow and Eckhart. I've seen this one a few times over the years and still find it enjoyable. **3.5/5**
