Dr. Ariel hails from a lineage in which, generation after generation, reaching old age triggers a decision to end one’s life, overwhelmed by a waning will to live. Struck by this fate, the physician dedicates himself to studying the psychology of the fatalistic mind and commits the fortune he has to establishing a clinic named El Hogar del Suicida. Its mission is to offer aid and rehabilitation to those in need and, should attempts fail, to furnish the individual with the means to carry out their intent. As time passes, the house becomes a haven for sorrowful souls drawn to the path of ending their own lives.
