Rika Inaba is a beautiful and headstrong director at the Teito Television Broadcasting Company. Since childhood she aspired to be the premier news reporter in the industry, but in her fifth year at the station she discovers she has been reassigned to lighter fare, an information program where she is tasked with reporting on the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Meanwhile, Daisuke Sorai has just achieved his long-held goal of becoming an aerobatics pilot, only to injure his leg, crushing his chances of joining the elite Blue Impulse flying team. He is assigned to the force's public relations desk and ends up attached to Rika in the role of attendant. Sorai and Rika differ on nearly everything—views and mindset. Yet they share one thing: their childhood dreams have been shattered and they've hit a wall in life. From there, a mutual understanding begins to grow, drawing them closer and guiding them toward the discovery of a new dream.
