Purani Jeans

Purani Jeans unfolds with the belief that friendship grows richer with time, like a cherished old pair of jeans—the more you wear them, the better they fit. The summer takes on a sharper edge as the boys navigate choices around love, sex, loyalty, jealousy, heartbreak, and betrayal, an arc that tests and fractures their bonds. The film follows Siddharth as he confronts his past to rebuild the four childhood friendships he formed in a small town in Himachal Pradesh, India. Returning from the United States, ghosts from his youth resurface, challenging him to mend the rifts and set right the mistakes of the past. Ultimately he overcomes the complications and restores these connections, returning to New York a wiser man, reconciled with his history and embracing a brighter present. He carries back to New York the conviction that friendship, like Purani Jeans, only grows stronger with age.
