Thurston Moore in the throes of a bender, filmed on a single day during a break from the Ragged Glory Tour. NYC roadie Maurice Menares, infused with hip hop energy, embodies the psychotic sidekick—the bunny. Offensively endearing, the vignette stands up to Public Enemy, N.W.A., R.E.M., and the Desert Storm era. A chance flare ignites the scene, predating the L.A. riots. A stop at yard sales leads to a detour that lands on Venice Beach. By the end of the day, I went nuts. Keep in mind, this was a period when Gerardo's Rico Suave was in heavy rotation.
