Red Forest

An evocative drama about Latvia's national resistance movement following Soviet occupation. Set in 1949, MI6 seeks to uncover the situation in the Baltic States under Soviet rule. Wittold (Jekabs Reinis), alongside fellow Latvians, toils at his daily work, while Velta (Agnese Cirule) serves as a nurse. They dream of emigrating to the United States, saving money, planning their wedding, and arranging the necessary documents, since the US carefully selects its emigrants. Yet Wittold decides to join the Mission, and the hope of changing history transforms his life.
