Mankind's troubles tempt the moon to drift away from Earth, but Kaguya, a superhuman spiritualist, is determined not to let it go. Descending from her celestial home, she travels to Earth to help solve humanity's relationship problems. Her first assignment pits her against a perfect murder and even a touch of gender-bending as she aids Tanaka in reviving the life of his dream lover and exacting vengeance on the killer, who was her ex-girlfriend. The second assignment tasks her with pulling the spirit of a sexually frustrated teenager out of a video game after the stress of being dumped forced it outside the body.
