Picking up where season five left off, Archie and Betty commit to renewing their romance just as a bomb Hiram Lodge had planted under Archie's bed is set to detonate. Remarkably, the device fails to explode, and when they awaken the following morning, they find themselves in Rivervale, with their Riverdale lives only a distant dream. Although it strains belief, Rivervale proves far darker and more unnerving than Riverdale ever was.
