In 2019, Kaito Yashio and Akiho Senomiya are the sole members of Central Tanegashima High School's Robotics Club in Kyushu, Japan. Kaito is a laid-back student and a skilled gamer who is simply helping Akiho, his childhood friend. She is an energetic, optimistic girl who yearns to complete the club's ongoing project: a functional replica of Gunvarrel, the main robot of a once-popular TV series. As they recruit new members and strive to assemble the robot, Kaito begins uncovering secret reports that could reveal a conspiracy of epic proportions. Unaware of the true scope of what he is navigating, Kaito gradually discovers clues laid by the mysterious Ko Kimijima.
