Season 2
Season two picks up right where season one left off: the 44 B.C. assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar and Niobe's near-simultaneous death, wife of Caesar's steadfast bodyguard Lucius Vorenus. Diverted from his post upon discovering that Lucius, long believed to be his grandson, is in fact Niobe's illegitimate son, Vorenus descends into near-madness, tormented by his failure to shield Caesar, his role in his wife's death, and the rumored murder of his estranged daughters.
