Rurouni Kenshin Part II: Kyoto Inferno
Having found a peaceful rhythm alongside Kaoru and his companions, Kenshin is drawn back into duty when a request from the Meiji government arrives. Makoto Shishio, a former assassin like Kenshin, was betrayed, set ablaze, and abandoned. He survived, gathering followers in Kyoto as he schemes to topple the fledgling government. Defying Kaoru’s protests, Kenshin agrees—though with reluctance—to travel to Kyoto and help prevent his country from slipping back into civil war.
