Darek is in love with a girl whose scent carries orange notes, even as he navigates a complicated relationship with his father. He is gentle, strong, and devoted to his younger sister and their herd of horses. His world unfolds in the isolated yet stunning Lusatian Mountains, where horses are not prized racing stock but beings to nurture and cherish.
