Secret Unrequited Love
At eight years old, Takuma Kakinouchi spent time in the hospital, where he befriended Mayu Taneda, a peer of the same age. Upon leaving the hospital, they visited a park and there pledged to marry, sure of a shared future. Seven years later, at fifteen, Takuma enters a prestigious high school. During the welcoming ceremony, a female freshman representative steps onto the platform, and Takuma is stunned to discover that she is Mayu Taneda. Mayu had studied relentlessly to gain entry to the same esteemed school so they could be together. Although he loves her, Takuma has tried to avoid her.
