Sergio Leone: The Italian Who Invented America
To commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of Sergio Leone's passing, this documentary offers a tribute to one of cinema's enduring legends. Leone's singular artistic vision crossed borders, gave rise to the Spaghetti Western, and forever reshaped the global film landscape through innovative stylistic and narrative approaches that have since entered the language of cinema. Bolstered by valuable archives from the Cineteca di Bologna — including rare audio recordings and behind-the-scenes clips — the film marks the Leone family's first direct participation and features conversations with his longtime collaborators as well as Hollywood luminaries who have been deeply inspired by his body of work.
