A portrait of a young brood of siblings largely abandoned by their parents, surviving on their wits and their humor on a rough Manchester council estate. Although they won't admit it, they need help, and they find it in Steve, a young middle-class lad who falls for Fiona, the oldest sister, and is increasingly drawn to this unconventional and unique family. Anarchic family life unfolds through the eyes of an exceptionally bright fifteen-year-old, who struggles to come of age under the shadow of a belligerent father, a closeted brother, a psychotic sister, and neighbours who are internet porn stars.
