Shipbuilder

This film faithfully chronicles the true story of Tom Sukanen, an eccentric Finnish immigrant who homesteaded in Saskatchewan during the 1920s and 1930s. He spent ten years constructing and hauling a colossal iron ship overland, intended to carry him back to his homeland of Finland, but the vessel never reached water.
