Laura's world is upended when a shark attack strikes during her 18th birthday celebration. She is rescued by Bruce, a handsome young man who has just returned home from college. As she recovers, he becomes a local hero for his bravery. In the aftermath, Bruce seems smitten with the woman he saved, but Laura isn't ready to move past the boyfriend she lost in the attack.
