State of Bacon
State of Bacon presents a quasi-real, largely fictional chronicle of an eclectic cast converging on the annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival. The story threads together bacon enthusiasts, Governor Branstad, a bacon queen, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, PETA members, and an Icelandic envoy, all of whom are welcomed into the bacon celebration and, as the narrative unfolds, become entangled with the festival organizers to demonstrate that bacon diplomacy remains very much alive.
