New York-based independent investigative journalist Amy Goodman has spent decades reporting from hotspots around the world—East Timor, Morocco, Nigeria, and Gaza—and from closer to home during 9/11 and the Iraq War. Goodman and a small team of colleagues host the daily online, TV, and radio news program Democracy Now!, which has aired since 1996 without government funding, sustained by contributions from donors, foundations, and news consumers.
