Sushi and Beyond

The narrative follows Booth, his wife Lissen, and their two children, Ansger and Emil, on a 100-day journey through Japan as they sample a wide array of Japanese foods. Booth is inspired to undertake the trip by Shizuo Tsuji's book Japanese Cooking, A Simple Art.
