Taking Liberties Since 1997 is a documentary that examines the erosion of civil liberties in the United Kingdom and the expansion of surveillance under Tony Blair's government. It was released in the United Kingdom on June 8, 2007. Director Chris Atkins stated on May 1 that his aim was to expose 'the Orwellian state' that now threatened Britain as a result of Blair's policies.
