Tales from Earthsea

An uncanny malaise has fallen over the land as the kingdom decays and its people begin to act strangely. Even dragons—an intrusion into the human realm—are seen. In response, Ged, a wandering wizard, sets out to uncover the cause. His journey brings him into contact with Prince Arren, a troubled young teen whose outward shyness masks a potent dark side that grants him strength, hatred, ruthlessness, and merciless resolve, especially in defending Teru. For the witch Kumo, this presents the perfect opportunity: she can weaponize the boy's fears against Ged, the very person who would come to his aid.
