Fed up with Dilip's involvement with Nayantara, a gold-digging actress, his uncle pretends to be gravely ill in hopes of guilting him into marrying a respectable girl. Dilip convinces the reluctant Kiran to pretend to be his fiancée. As the deception unfolds, Dilip and Kiran fall in love, and Nayantara decides to intervene.
