Provocative, idiosyncratic, and incendiary, the film interweaves rarely seen archival material, contributor interviews, and excerpts from the writings of icons such as James Baldwin, Gore Vidal, and Joan Didion, alongside original verité footage filmed in the Review's West Village offices.
