The Asterisk War
Invertia was a meteor storm that unleashed an unparalleled catastrophe in the 20th century, destroying numerous cities around the world. Within the meteor, an enigmatic element called mana was discovered, enabling rapid technological advancement and giving rise to a new breed of super-powered humans—the Star Pulse Generation, or Genestella. The Festas, or Star Warrior Festivals, host battles between Genestella in a city built around six academies known as Rikka, also commonly called Asterisk. A scholarship student named Ayato Amagiri transfers into Seidoukan Academy to fulfill his own wish, swearing that he too will fight in this city.
