The Bartered Soul

Two rivals in love and status—millionaire Gornostayev and ballet dancer Ilona—are locked in a constant argument over what matters most: youth and beauty or wealth. Ilona maintains that youth and beauty take precedence, while Gornostayev disagrees and resolves to prove her wrong. He signs a contract with a young worker named Alexey, and they move abroad. A year later, Alexey has transformed into a genuine aristocrat and returns to Russia. Gornostayev introduces Alexey to Ilona, and she falls in love with him.
