A timely and distinctive coming-of-age story set on the South Side of Chicago, following a half dozen interrelated characters. At its center is Brandon, an ambitious and self-assured young man who dreams of someday opening his own restaurant, yet feels torn between the promise of a new life and his duties to his mother and teenage brother back on the South Side.
