The Corruption of Melba

Melba, widow of a farmer-leader murdered in a case attributed to the sitting governor, travels to the city to appeal the case and seek a new life after the tragedy. Working as a staff member in the office of a City Councilor, she is introduced to the corridors and realities of political life. Ultimately, she becomes deeply entwined in the political arena, as her decision to marry the rising politician unfolds into a carefully laid agenda.
