1930s. Anna, the central character, has reinvented herself in Italy as an actress and is set to star and produce in a film backed by an Italian production house with a murky past. Against this backdrop, the usual film industry scandals unfold: a casting couch, the stars' affairs, lavish, sexually charged gatherings at the producer's mansion, and a range of other situations that call for nudity.
