The Engineer Child

Set against the backdrop of contemporary history, this series traces a boy's life through three defining phases: childhood, adolescence, and youth. Abandoned at birth because his father did not want him to be born, the child is sold to finance his gambling habit. Months later, the father returns home, finds the child, and a quarrel with his wife compels the mother and child to leave the house. The mother places the boy in an orphanage, where he is named Javad Javadi, and the story of Javad's life unfolds from that point onward.
